This product is a 3-piece set from Japan Antique Gallery, consisting of a long , a wakizashi, and a two- display stand!
These are highly praised for their extremely thin blades and excellent balance! They are also very easy for beginners to handle!
This is a rare Japan Antique Gallery product, the Goro Nyudo Masamune, known only to those in the know!
The Masamune in this set, a daisho (long and short ) set, originally retailed for approximately 160,000 yen!
Japan Antique Gallery is no longer producing iaito, making this discontinued item a rare iaito!
The long has a length of 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu (approximately 70.7 cm), a standard size with excellent balance! It is a that is easy to handle for those who practice iaido styles that use a wakizashi, or for beginners!
Both the long and wakizashi have excellent wind-cutting sounds and no rattling! The koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) on both the daisho is firm, so when the is sheathed properly, it will not slip out even when held upside down! These are still very much usable!
The flaws are: the wakizashi scabbard has dents of approximately 1.3 cm and 0.7 cm! Also, both the daisho have small pockmarks on the ura (inner side) of the ! (Slightly near the monouchi on the daisho, and slightly all over on the wakizashi).
Other than that, there is some age-related deterioration, but these are still very much usable!
